->Hurley , Francis & ShirleyA Graveside Memorial Service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 11 am for Francis (Ted), 83 and Shirley G Hurley, 81 formerly of Elmira, New York. Ted is the son of the late John F Hurley and Mabel (Chaapel) Hughson. Shirley is the daughter of the late John and Grace (Parry) Bixby. Shirley passed away on May 14, 2012 at Albemarle Hospital in Elizabeth City, NC. Ted passed away at home in Elizabeth City, NC July 7, 2012. The Hurleys were predeceased by brothers John Bixby, Jr and Dale W Hurley and sisters Jean Marie Bixby, Camilla (Bixby) Heck, Mary Lou (Bixby) Graves, Floretta (Bixby) Moffe, and Anna (Bixby) Schultz. The Hurleys are survived by their children Sherry (John) Borek of Cortland, NY, Richard (Rose) Hurley of Rocklin, CA and Kathi (David) Turner of Chesapeake, VA; their grandchildren Jared Borek, Matthew (Joy) Borek, Sarah Jenn Rumbaugh, Jason and James (Teddy) Ridley and seven great grand children. The Hurleys are also survived by brothers Stanley (Kathy) Hurley, Clair (Gerri) Bixby and Richard (Ursula) Bixby and sisters Phyllis (Bixby) Kibbe, Barbara (Bixby) Hubbard and sister in law Patricia (Dale) Hurley and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends are encouraged to meet at the Walnut Street entrance at 10:45am for a processional to the gravesite. Reverend Michael Weeden will be officiating.
