Frances Morrison, age 90, of Florence, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2012. Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights, Florence. Her funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel, with Dr. John T. Brock and the Rev. Chris Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.Mrs. Morrison was born to Frank and Sadie Corbin, of Anniston, Ala., on April 26, 1921. It was there that she met and married her husband of 57 years, Joe Morrison Sr., who preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Corbin. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church of Florence.Survivors include her sons, Joe Morrison Jr. and wife, Brenda, of Cherokee, Don Morrison and wife, Faye, of Decatur; brother, Frank M. Corbin Jr. and wife, Mary, of Decatur; grandchildren, Stan Morrison and wife, Leigh Ann, of Tuscaloosa, Stephanie Underwood and husband, John, of Tuscumbia, Mike Morrison and wife, Holly, of Muscle Shoals, Jennifer Ward, of Tony, Ala.; great-grandchildren, Tyler Morrison, Destin Underwood, Alex Morrison, Anna Katherine Morrison, Kelsey Underwood, Trent Morrison, Austin Underwood, Rhett Morrison and Braden Morrison.Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley, Decatur, Ala.
