Frances Louise Powell, 62, wife of Jerry Wayne Powell, of 4 Azalea Court, died July 17, 2001. Born in Gastonia, N.C., she wasPowellthe daughter of the late Ernest F. and Dolly Beatrice Moss Bright. Mrs. Powell was a housewife and a member of Donaldson Road Church of God. Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Michelle Ann Stapleton of Clover, Renee Yvonne Lucas of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Joseph Roger Lucas Jr. of Leesburg, Fla., Sheila Marie Powell of Fountain Inn, and Jerry Wayne Powell Jr. of Greer; brothers, Franklin, Furman, and Donny Bright of Gastonia, N.C., and Charles Bright of Myrtle Beach; and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Paul Bright. Services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at The Mackey Mortuary, Century Drive, with visitation following until 8:30 p.m. The Rev. Eddie Allen will officiate. Burial will be at Lake View Memory Gardens, York, Friday at 11 a.m.
