At the time of her passing, Ms. Armstrong was a resident of the Teresian House in Albany. She was the daughter of the late George H. Armstrong and Grace Ellithorpe Armstrong. She was predeceased by her brother, Kenneth Armstrong. Ms. Armstrong was educated in the Schenectady Schools. She graduated from the NYS School of Agriculture in Cobleskill (now SUNY), and from Albany Business College. Ms. Armstrong taught for three years in the Colonie Village School on Central Ave. and was the secretary for an Albany otolaryngologist for 11 years before being employed with the NYS Insurance Department. She retired as an employee of the NYS Education Department. Ms. Armstrong was an active member of the Pine Grove United Methodist Church and the Herbert B. Kuhn Senior Citizen's Center in the village of Colonie. She is survived by cousins. A gravesite memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2007 at the Protestant Cemetery in the village of Corinth, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 1580 Central Ave., Colonie, NY 12205 or to the American Foundation for the Blind.
