Evelyn Lee 'Dolly' MacDonald JACKSON - Evelyn Lee "Dolly" MacDonald, 85, of Jackson, NJ, quietly passed away in her home on Dec. 20, 2011. Dolly was born in Windsor, NJ, on Jan. 5, 1926. She was the daughter of the late John W. Totten and Evelyn R. (Drake) Totten. As a young girl, Dolly worked for her grandfather at Totten's Market in Hightstown, NJ. She also worked at the Hightstown Diner, where she met her first husband, Jim Corcodilos. They co-founded Jim's Drive-In in Windsor, NJ. In 1959 Dolly moved to Florida, where she met and married Mackey MacDonald. Dolly and Mackey returned in 1988 to Jamesburg, NJ, where she worked in her son's multiple businesses. Upon retirement, Dolly moved to Jackson, NJ, in 2005; sadly, Mackey passed away in 2007. Dolly will be remembered by her family and friends for her colorful stylish look, kind heart, generous nature and her words of wisdom. She was always the first one ready to lend a helping hand. Family was very important to Dolly and she always said her family was "the light of her life." Known as Seewee (short for sweetie) by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she took great pride in her unique name. Cherishing her memory are her son, Nicholas J. Corcodilos of Cranbury, NJ; daughter, Donna Bishop of Roosevelt, NJ; sister, Sarah Craig of Garner, NC; three grandchildren, Johnnie, Tina and Jason and five great-grandchildren, Daniel, Madison, James, Mason and Hailey. A memorial gathering will be held Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, at 2 p.m. in the clubhouse of Jackson Acres, 2 Lisa Lane South, Jackson, NJ. Arrangements are by the DeGraff Lakehurst Funeral Home, Lakehurst, NJ.
