GORDO Eula Belle Miller, age 89, of Gordo, died Nov. 29, 2007, at Pickens County Medical Center. Services will be 1 p.m. today at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marshall Sutton and Rev. Ben Logan officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Noman, Aaron, and Herman Mathews; her sister, Margie McCoy, her granddaughter, Armi Frame; and her great granddaughter, Brandi Moore.Survivors include her husband, J. T. Miller of Gordo; her daughters, Anna Rae Turney (Millard) of Birmingham and Sherry Guy (Benny) of Reform; her sons, Joe Higginbotham (Ricki) of Randolph, Jack Higginbotham (Gail) of Gordo, and Danny Miller (Joyce) of Elrod; her sister, Ruby McCoy of Fayette; 17 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.Mrs. Miller was born March 3, 1918, in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama to the late Early E. Mathews and Beulah Mae Weaver Mathews. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Foley, Alabama, a retired kindergarten teacher with the Tuscaloosa County School System, and a well-known resident of Pickens County.Pallbearers will be Tyler Higginbotham, Ben Cohron, James Robertson, Auzie Martin, Earl Beams, and Elmer Lynn.Honorary pallbearers are all of her sisters in-law, Faye Sutton, Dr. Catherine Skinner, Lynwood Holliman, Gerald Homan, Bobby Cowart, Amedisys Home Health staff, and Pickens County Medical Center caregivers.
