Eugene F. Wheelerof Owego, N.Y.Eugene F. Wheeler, 73, of Owego, N.Y., passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2004, at Tioga Nursing Facilities, Waverly, N.Y., where he had been residing. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Howard Darling, Binghamton, N.Y.; his brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Dorothy Wheeler, Owego; his nieces, Barbara DeMony and Charlotte Jackson; and their families. Gene was born in Candor, N.Y., on July 4, 1931, the son of the late John and Ada (Anderson) Wheeler. He served a short time in the United States Army, and worked for the Lackawanna Railroad. Gene later retired from Endicott Johnson Shoe Company after 18 years of service.Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Tioga Cemetery, Owego.
