Erick Leonard Erickson, 85, of 105 Bouchillion Drive, beloved husband of Nora G. Erickson, went home to be with the Lord Friday, January 4, 2008.Born on March 20, 1922, in Stoughton, Wisconsin, he was the son of the late Nels and Beda Erickson. He was predeceased by three siblings, Fred Erickson, Nels Erickson, Myrtle Jackson, and a son, Eric Leonard Erickson, Jr. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and retired from the RF&P Railroad after 42 years.Mr. Erickson's interests include traveling, golfing and fishing.He was a member of Morningside Baptist Church.Mr. Erickson is survived by his wife of 64 years; his daughter, Diane Davis of Greenville; son-in-law, Scott C. Davis; and two grandchildren, Eric and Katherine Davis. Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, January 8, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Morningside Baptist Church, with the Rev. Steven Huffman officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.The body will lie in state on Monday, January 7 at Mackey Mortuary, Century Drive.
