NEEDHAM, Mass. - Ellen (Order) Davis, 85, died Aug. 15, 2008. She was born in Boston and raised and educated in Dorchester, Mass. She was a very proud graduate of the Jeremiah E. Burke High School, an all-girls school. She was the vice president for the Apahouser Corp. in Watertown for 53 years. She was also a proud and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. IN HER LIFE: Mrs. Davis was the beloved wife of Joseph Davis, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of Susan Lurgio of Dunbarton, N.H., and Robert Davis and his partner, Richard Petruzzelli, of Boston. She was mother-in-law of the late Ross Lurgio, loving sister of Hyman, Esther, Rose and the late Phil, Lou and Revie. She was also the loving grandmother of Jonathan, Rebecca, Sara and Adam Lurgio. She was the aunt of many nieces and nephews. SERVICES: The service is Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Temple Beth Shalom, 670 Highland Ave., Needham, Mass. Interment will be at Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon, Mass. Memorial observance will be held at Mrs. Davis' residence immediately after the interment Tuesday and also Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Boston Center for Rehabilitative & Subacute Care, 1245 Centre St., West Roxbury, Mass. 02132.
