Mrs. Elizabeth "Pat" Mitchell Holley, age 74, of Sheffield, Ala., died Monday, July 20, 2009.The visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Annapolis Avenue Church of Christ, with Terry Jones and Miles Stutts officiating. She will lie in state from 10-11 a.m. at the church.Mrs. Holley was a native of Sheffield and a member of the Annapolis Avenue Church of Christ.She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jackie F. Holley; parents, Robert M. and Vadie Stewart Mitchell; brother, Thomas D. Mitchell; and sisters, Ruth Dunavant and Muriel England.Survivors include her sons, Joseph Scott Holley (Rhonda), of Killen, and Chad Mitchell Holley, of Sheffield; daughter, Trisha Holley Howard (Rick), of Montgomery; brother, Robert Mitchell Jr. (Willette), of Birmingham; sisters, Shirley Cox, of Tuscumbia, and Lea Rost (Don), of Albuquerque, N.M.; and six grandchildren, Nick and Erin Holley, of Killen, Jackson and Carson Howard, of Montgomery, Allison Agee, of Tuscumbia, and Chelsie Hogan, of Muscle Shoals.Pallbearers will be Nick Holley, Donnie Holley, Michael Poole, Blake Poole, Robert "Butch" Mitchell and Terrell Armstrong.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice, Mitchell Hollingsworth or St. Jude's Hospital.The family extends a special thanks to Brian Scheri and staff of Mitchell-Hollingsworth and to the staff of Southern Care Hospice.Morrison Funeral Home, of Tuscumbia, is directing.
