ELIZABETHLANIER, 87Sectionizer LAKELAND - Mrs. Elizabeth Lanier, age 87, died of heart failure Tuesday (Nov. 18, 2008). Born in Irwin Co., GA., on Dec. 1, 1920, she came here from Ocilla, GA., in 1936. She was a sectionizer. She was a member of Gibsonia Baptist Church and the VFW Auxiliary Post #8002. Mrs. Lanier was preceded in death by her husband Dallas Osburn Lanier, and daughter Mary Buchan. She is survived by her son David Lanier, Lakeland; brother J.C. Buchanon, Lakeland; sisters Dorothy Hampton, Emma Jean Barfield, both of Lakeland; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at Bethel Baptist Church. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church. Interment will be in Socrum Cemetery. Lanier Funeral Home.
