She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late William and Amie Reed McClure. Mrs. Jones, along with her late husband, Charles Spencer Jones, who died in 1992, were founders of Jones Car Wash in 1971, located on Memorial Boulevard.Mrs. Jones is survived by two sons, Palmer Jones and his wife Becky, David Jones and his wife Pallie; daughter, Charlotte Stinson and her husband Ed; sister, Margaret Lee Jones and her husband John, of all of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Lance Jones and his wife Amy, Wendy Coleman and her husband Mike, Jill Converse and her husband Mark, Brad Jones Stinson and his wife Leslee; great-grandchildren, Brock Jones, Tanner Jones, Ashleigh Coleman, Katie Coleman, Allie Elizabeth Stinson, Turner Stinson, Chloe Converse and Caroline Converse.Mrs. Jones was also preceded in death by brother, William "Buddy" McClure and sisters, Jennie V. Newman, Ethel D. Watson and Louise Pearcy.Mrs. Jones was a member of the Baptist Church, a graduate of Murfreesboro Central High School and a former member of the board of directors of Crime Stoppers. Family will serve as Active Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chief Glen Chrisman and members of the Murfreesboro Police Department, Bart Walker and the staff of WGNS radio station, board members of Crime Stoppers and Commissioner Bill Jones.Family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at AdamsPlace, Jill Coker and Diane Jobman.Memorials may be made to Crime Stoppers, St. Thomas Rutherford Foundation and C.A.S.A. in memory of Mrs. Jones.Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
