STONE, ELEANOR LEE COLLINSEleanor Lee Collins Stone, 84, departed this life on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 in Jackson, Mississippi. Mrs. Stone was born on February 13, 1928 in West Virginia. Her parents were the late Fletcher and Nannie Collins of West Virginia. Mrs. Stone was employed at McLeod's Clothing Store, Thompson Flower Shop and Badcock Furniture Store in High Springs, FL. Customers always wanted Mrs. Stone to help them. She was a member of Forest Grove Baptist Church. She loved to cook, especially for her church family when they had a dinner on the ground. She was well known for her fried apple pies, yeast rolls. German Chocolate Cake and fruit cakes. Her Christian faith was evident in her daily life. Her concern for others was apparent through her dedication to the intercessory prayer ministry. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William Alfred Stone; their three children; Jerry Stone (Linda) of Madison Mississippi, Brian Stone (Wendy) of Tallahassee, FL and Karen Lindsey (Steve) of Farmville, VA; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one brother, Howard Collins and two sisters, Marie Wirt and Mildred Crawford. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2012 from 5 to 7PM at Evans-Carter Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Friday, June 8 at 10:30 AM at Forest Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Warren Chesser and Rev. John Jernigan officiating. Interment will be in High Springs Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Evans-Carter Funeral Home, 220 North Main St. High Springs, FL 32643.
