Edward Lee, 88, of Toms River, N.J., passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Green Brook Manor in Green Brook, N.J. Edward was born on Sept. 1, 1924, in Elizabeth, N.J., and lived in Hillsborough, N.J., before retiring to the Silverton section of Toms River in 1985. He was a veteran in World War II, serving as a Marine in the 1st Marine Division from September 1941 to September 1945. He saw action in Guadalcanal, British Solomon Islands, Cape Gloucester and New Britain. After his discharge from the Marines, Edward spent his life as a union plumber for Triangle Plumbing in Mountainside, N.J., with Local No. 24. Edward was predeceased by his brothers, John and Andrew Lee. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Doris (nee Catullo) Lee; his son, Barry Lee of Somerville, N.J.; his daughter, Diane Geib, her husband, Leo, and granddaughter Caroline, of Green Brook, N.J; his sisters, Jenny Green of Williamsburg, Va., and Lottie Forest and her husband, Joe, of Neptune, N.J., and his sister-in- law, Joyce Lee of Colts Neck, N.J.
