-> Bloomingdale - Edna Smith Davis, 76, died August 17, 2003. She worked for the Board of Education for 15 years as a bus driver, and taught Sunday School at South Newington Baptist Church, where she was a member for 33 years. She was also an avid gardener who enjoyed fishing and being outdoors and also loved to crochet. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 59 years, Frank Davis. Survivors: one daughter and son-in-law, Delores and Robert Youngblood of Bloomingdale; two sons and daughter-in-law, Charles and Tina Davis and Jeff and Brenda Davis, all of Eden; seven sisters, Doris Dickerson of Ellabell, Audrey Davis of Midway, Louise Steedley of Ohio, Joann Canada of Midway, Saralyn Wells of Pembroke, Elizabeth Sailor of Blairsville, and Debbie Beasley of Savannah; two brothers, John Smith of Bulloch County, and Steven Smith of Eden; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a dog, Petey. Visitation: 6:00 - 9:00 p.m, Tuesday, at Morrison Funeral Home in Pembroke. Funeral Services: 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, at South Newington Baptist Church, with Reverend Earl Best officiating. The body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service. Burial: Ash Branch Cemetery.
