Edna-Christina Anderson, née en 1918, conjointe de George Anderson, mère de Marlene, est décédée le 19 mars 2007.
ANDERSON _ Edna Christina (Mattson) Born in Cabri, Saskatchewan, May 31, 1918, passed away March 19, 2007 at Minoru Residence, Richmond, BC. Predeceased by her husband, George Anderson, her brothers Norman, Morris, Raymond and Kenneth; survived by her daughter Marlene (Greg), sisters Mabel (John), Helen, Lillian and May; sister-in-law Eileen, and many nieces and nephews in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Minnesota and Georgia. In Cabri she was caregiver for her seven siblings, played the organ and guitar, curled, played baseball and ice hockey, and then chose hairdressing for her career in Regina. Her next adventure was wartime wife, mother and co-proprietor of a rooming house in Vancouver from 1945 to 1961, mainly looking after young gals coming from the small towns of BC to the big city. She was a great "housemother". To all those who knew her, "Eddie" had a great sense of humour, a quick wit, was an excellent judge of character, and loved to sing, dance and whistle. Many thanks to Dr. James McCreary for his care over and above the call of duty, and also to the staff of Minoru Residence for their loving care, and to her attendant and friend, Pinky Alladin. Funeral service will be held at Ocean View Funeral Chapel, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC on March 28 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 4465, Vancouver, BC, V6B 3Z8 as she always had great respect for their organization. We miss you, Mom
