Edith Helen Lee, a Radiologic Technologist and Administrative Assistant to the Head of the New Rochelle Hospital X-Ray Department, died on April 6, 2004 at Sound Shore Medical Center after a short illness. Edith Lee was born on October 26, 1917 in New Rochelle to Isaac Vernon Lee and Mabel Florence Spiller. Edith played the violin with her sister, Doris, who played the piano, and both were taught and accompanied by their mother, Mabel. The three performed trios in New Rochelle for several years when Edith and Doris were teenagers. Their home was a musical home for many decades. Edith worked at New Rochelle Hospital (now Sound Shore Medical Center) for 35 years and retired there in 1978. Edith was active in the Business and Professional Women of America and Zonta in New Rochelle. She also was a member of the congregation of Christ United Methodist Church. She is survived by her niece, Leslie Rado, of Seattle, and her good friend, Rita Miller, of New Rochelle. Services will be held at Christ United Methodist Church, 1200 North Ave., on Monday, April 12, at 4 pm.
