DOROTHY PETERSON FORMERLY OF EAST CHICAGO, IN Dorothy Peterson, age 62, of Joliet, IL, formerly of East Chicago, passed away Monday, December 2, 2013 at Joliet Community Hospice in Joliet, IL. She is survived by four sisters: Gwendolyn (Howard) Johnson, Naomi, Lela and Cynthia Peterson; four brothers: George, Hezikiah, Michael and James Peterson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 4756 Melville Ave., East Chicago with Rev. Rodney Golson, Pastor and Rev. Shirley Gillespie officiating. Interment at Fern Oaks Cemetery, Griffith. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Friendship Baptist Church from 10:00- 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Hinton & Williams Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
