Dorothy Davis Johnson - MIDWAY - Dorothy Davis Johnson, 85, of Midway, Georgia, widow of Paul Amos Johnson, died Friday evening, November 21, 2008, at home under the care of family and Hospice Savannah. Born November 3, 1923, in East Point, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Pete T. Davis and the late Lera Belle Jernigan Davis of Atlanta, Georgia. Miss Dorothy was a graduate of Emory Nursing School in Atlanta, Georgia, and retired from Rich's department store in Atlanta, Georgia, where she worked in the china department. Surviving are her daughter, Glenda Prince of Ivor, Virginia; three sons, Peter Gossecc and Boyd Holt, both of Midway, Georgia, and Paul A. Johnson Jr. of Epworth, Georgia; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Tuesday evening at Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah. Interment will be private.
