ObituaryDorothy (Dot) C. Johnson (Mrs. Alden L. Johnson) of Fort Myers, Florida died on April 5, 2003 at Hope Hospice of Shell Point, Fort Myers. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on August 30, 1922, she lived in East Providence, Rhode Island all of her childhood. She and her family moved to Augusta, Kansas in 1958 where she was an executive secretary in banking, real estate and insurance. She was a member of Hope Congregtional Church, East Providence, Rhode Island and a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was also a popular accompanying pianist for soloists. After retirement, she and her husband moved to Winter Haven, Florida in 1983. After the death of her husband in late 1998, she moved to Fort Myers, Florida. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara R. Haylock of Charlotte, North Carolina and a granddaughter Desirae N. Haylock of Acworth, Georgia, as well as four cousins. There will be a memorial service at Shell Point's Village Church Chapel and a private internment service at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens in Auburndale, Florida. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, Winter Haven, Florida or Hope Congregational Church, East Providence, Rhode Island.
