->Dorothy Angeline JohnsonHighland - Mrs. Dorothy Angeline Johnson, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 in her home, where she had been a long-time resident of Highland, NY. Mrs. Johnson was born on November 4, 1918 to the late William and Goldie Douglas. She graduated from Pine Plains High School in 1936. Soon after graduation, she married Abraham Johnson on November 22, 1936. From their union, they had seven children, Abraham Johnson (Louise), Donna Perry (Jesse Sr.) (deceased), Carole Johnson (deceased), Willie (deceased), William Bakari Johnson, Richard Johnson (deceased), Jewel Caquais (Jose) (deceased), Janice Johnson Faulk (deceased) (Robert Sr.). Mrs. Johnson successfully accomplished many more life achievements and certificates in the community. She retired from N.Y.S. Civil Service after 25 years at Hudson River State Hospital while she also served as a certified Home Care Provider.She is survived by 15 grandchildren, also blessed with 22 great-grandchildren, her legacy continued with 4 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Johnson is also survived by three cousins, Nancy Warner, Ruth Porter and William Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews, several more family members and lots of dear friends.Mrs. Johnson also known as "Queenie" will be greatly missed. Heaven is rejoicing, "Well done, Good and Faithful Servant…Enter In!"Mrs. Johnson will lay in repose 7-8 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel, 43 Fairview Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Central Baptist Church, 26 Church Road, Salt Point, NY. Service at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Rev. Richard Butler Officiating.
