Doris Peterson Miller, 61, of 4150 Ridge Rd., was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 26, 2006, at her home. Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of Virginia Freeman Peterson and the late Rev. Lynell Peterson. Mrs. Miller was of the Christian faith, and a loving, dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Arnold Lee Miller of the home; two daughters, Lisa Bennett and husband, Bryan of Travelers Rest and Kaye Herzog and husband, Jeff of Taylors; four sisters, Priscilla Miller, Norma Barnett, Naomi Hughes and Melinda Barnett; two brothers, Carroll and James Peterson; five grandchildren, Ashley Weber, Bridgette and Kayla Kellar, Tristan Herzog and Lindsey Bennett; and three great-grandchildren, Austin and Cameron Weber and Connor Thompkins. Along with her father, Mrs. Miller was predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Katlyn Weber.Graveside services will be held Friday morning at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Greer.Visitation will be private.The family will be at the home.Memorials may be made to Open Arms - St. Francis Hospice, 414 Pettigru St., Greenville, SC 29601.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The Howze Mortuary, Travelers Rest.
