Miller, Doris I. RENSSELAER Doris I. Dumas Miller, age 94 years, of Rensselaer passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2012. She was born in Burlington, Vt. and has been a resident of Rensselaer for 70 years. Mrs. Miller was employed as a nursing supervisor for the Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing Home. She was a communicant of St. John The Evangelist and St. Joseph Church in Rensselaer attending St. Joseph's Church for many years. Wife of the late Irving S. Miller; mother of Judith Miller Skiff (John) of Nashua, N.H.; grandmother of John (Joyce) Skiff Jr., Jeffrey (Heidi) Skiff, Robin (Jeff) Sanborn, Brendan Skiff and Suzanne Winslow. Also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer Saturday morning at 9 and 10 at St. John The Evangelist and St. Joseph Church, Herrick Street, Rensselaer where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Friday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
