McKENZIE, Donald (Don) Hugh With deep sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Donald Hugh McKenzie on February 15, 2003, at the age of 60. Don has left behind his loving family, his wife, Sandra; two daughters, Heather (Bryan) Bueckert and Shelley (Geoffrey) Averay-Jones; his grandchildren, Joshua, Emily, Haley, and Sean, of whom he was proud; and his dog, Jasper. He also leaves to mourn his mother, Hazel; brother, Ross (Patti); sister, Jean Christian, nieces and nephews, and many friends and associates. Don was predeceased by his father, Hugh, in 1973. Don's infectious good spirit, sense of humor and eternal optimism, enlightened the lives of those he touched. A lifelong passion for music, love of teaching young people to play, and sharing his talents with family and friends, brought joy to us all. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at the Chapel of Howard & McBride Westlawn, 16310 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton on Wednesday, February 19, 2003 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Celebration of Don's life will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2003 at 2:30 p.m. at the Chapel of Howard & McBride Westlawn, with Reverend John Henry Weinlick officiating.
