STUART _ David John 1949 - 2006 On April 17, 2006 at 11:30 p.m., David went kicking and screaming out of this world and onto his next chapter. He is survived by his wife Lesley; son Jarret (Lindsay); father John; seven brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. David obtained his engineering degree from the University of Calgary and worked for UMA and Quantel before becoming the President of Veco Canada. In that capacity he traveled all over the world, making friends wherever he went. He was also instrumental in developing the engineering co-op program for the University of Calgary. David was a member of the TEC 217 group, the Bow Valley Club and the Calgary Petroleum Club. He was known for his dry sense of humour and his ability to make others feel important and at ease. He loved life and was especially enjoying retirement. We will all miss his mischievous smile. A Memorial Service will be held at the Cathedral Church of the Redeemer, 218 - 7 Avenue S.E., Calgary on Monday, April 24, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's name to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Suite 100, 2421 - 37 Avenue N.E., Calgary, AB, T2E 6Y7.
