Mrs. Clara M. (Sangermano) Owen of Waltham died Monday, November 11, 2013, in the Epoch Senior Healthcare of Weston. She was 96. Mrs. Owen was born in East Boston on October 2, 1917, a daughter of the late Frank and Loretta (Fiorelli) Sangermano. She was a graduate of the Boston Trade School and worked as a seamstress. A Waltham resident since 1936, Mrs. Owen was a former Deaconess, Choir Member, and Sunday School Teacher at the First Congregational Church in Waltham, which is now known as Trinity Church. She was also active at the Waltham Council on Aging and the Waltham Library. Mrs. Owen was the wife of the late Carleton W. Owen and James V. Bonomo; the sister of the late George Sangermano and Adele Sargent; and step- mother of the late Betty Olson. She is survived by her step-daughters, Priscilla Thayer and her husband, Robert, of Waltham and Louise Toler of Forestdale; her brother, Lawrence Sangermano of Cincinnati, Ohio; six step-grandchildren and four nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Church on Saturday, November 30th, at 11 am. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Church, 730 Main Street, Waltham, MA 02451.
