GRAVES, CHARLES W., 84 Altoona - Charles W. Graves of Altoona, FL, went home to be with his Lord on November 5, 2014. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Chuck was born on December 5, 1929 in St. Paul, MN and graduated from Barron High School in Barron, Wisconsin. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1948 and served during the Korean War with the VP-772 Patrol Squadron. He worked for Northwestern Bell as a lineman and a manager for over 33 years. His passions were golf, fishing and the Civil War. Chuck was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Marion Nelson Graves; his parents Harold and Mabel Graves and his sister, Pat Smith. He is survived by his daughter Sarah Stroh Lankester (Peter), Ocala, FL; son Christopher C. Graves (Denise), Anguilla, BWI; and beloved grandchildren, Christopher L. and Jessica L. Stroh, Ocala, FL. A memorial service to celebrate Chuck's life will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Lakeview Terrace, 331 Raintree Dr., Altoona, FL 32702.
