ObituaryDr. Charles W. Godwin, of Ft. Myers, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2005. He was born in Madison, Florida. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy. He was alumni of the University of Florida and a member of Phi Delta Kappa. He served on the Administrative Board of the First United Methodist Church. He was past Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Services of the Lee County School District and served as past President of the Florida Organization of Instructional Leaders. He also served as a Board Member of the American Cancer Society.He is survived by his wife, Marie Godwin, son Charles Godwin, Jr. and his wife Patti, daughter Jeannie and her husband Eddie and five grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, FL Division, Inc., Lee County Unit, Ft. Myers, Florida.Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2005 at Craig Funeral Home in St. Augustine, at 6:30 pm with a time of prayer following at 7:30 pm. A graveside service will be held at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Jacksonville on Friday, October 7, 2005.Craig Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements
