Charles Colan Goodwin SNEADS - Charles Colan Goodwin, 90, died Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at his home. The service will be at 11 a.m. CST Saturday at Shady Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church in the Shady Grove Community, with burial at the Shady Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. CST today at the church.Lanier-Andler Funeral Home (850-593-9900) is handling arrangements. Mr. Goodwin was a lifelong resident of Jackson County and a member of the Shady Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he was also Sunday school superintendent for 31 years. He retired as an automotive-maintenance supervisor for the Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee and was a bus driver for the hospital for many years.Mr. Goodwin is survived by three sons, Charles "Man" Goodwin (and wife Sue), Doug "Crook" Goodwin (and wife Clara) and Gerald D. Goodwin; his daughter, Lovida Roberts (and husband Millard); two brothers, Harold and Horace Goodwin; three sisters, Myrtice Hewett, Lennie Steadham and Verna Cook; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and church friends.He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Alma; a daughter-in-law, Libby; two brothers, Fred and Howard; and two sisters, Flora and Betty Ruth.
