Catherine (Cathy) Strong IRISHTOWN, NB - Catherine (Cathy) Strong, 43, of Scotch Settlement Road, Irishtown, NB, passed away at her residence on Monday, October 18, 2004 after a lengthy illness. Born in Shediac, NB on February 1, 1961 she was the daughter of the late Cornelius Simon and Elizabeth (Thurnason) Simon. She was a Horticurlist for the City of Moncton and owner of Carriage House Nursery. Catherine was a member of Horticurlist Society, member of Lewisville Baptist Church, member of Morgan Horse Assoc. Catherine is survived by her husband, Scott Strong; her mother, Elizabeth Simon (Thurnason); two daughters, Melissa Strong, at home, Jennifer Strong, at home; two sisters, Beppy Kingston (Brian) of Moncton, Jacqueline Caissie (John) of Moncton; three brothers, Tom LeBlanc (Rose) of Baltimore, Maryland, USA, Jack LeBlanc (Irene) of Sussex, NB, Con Simon (Terri) of Moncton; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Cornelius Simon in 2001. Resting at Passage Funeral Cooperative, 3754 Rte 134, Shediac Bridge with visitation on Tuesday, October 19, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held at Passage Funeral Co-operative Chapel on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Gordon McLeod officiating. Interment will take place in the United Church Cemetery, Scotch Settlement Road, Irishtown.
