Carolyn Rowell Simpson Carolyn Rowell Simpson, 70, died Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at her home. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Charles "Red" Simpson. The service will be at 11 a.m. EDT Friday, June 22, at Bevis Funeral Home in Tallahassee (850-385-2193), with burial at Tallahassee Memory Gardens.Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. EDT Thursday, June 21, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308. A native of Selma, Alabama, she moved to Tallahassee in 1953. She was a member of Tallahassee First Baptist Church. Others survivors include a daughter, Shannon Gittleman of Tampa; two sons, Bradley Simpson and Randy Simpson, both of Tallahassee; a sister, Betty Walters of Fort Walton Beach; and five grandchildren, Cullen Simpson, Shanna Brooke Simpson, Kayla Simpson, Molly Gittleman and Levi Gittleman.
