JOHNSON, BRENDA LOU, 67, died Saturday, June 30, 2007 at Jewish Hospital. She was born on January 14, 1940 to Weck. and Millie Roberson in Beech Creek, KY and was a member of the Eastern Heights Baptist Church in Jeffersonville, and Southern Indiana Blue Grass Assoc. where she played upright bass and piano. She was also a Kentucky Colonel and enjoyed bird watching and gardening and was a retired employee of the Sellersburg Branch of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Norman Roberson; and a sister, Anna Sue Rust. Survivors include her husband, Ed Johnson; three sons, Edwin Dewayne Johnson and fiancé Mona, of Louisville, John Johnson (Khristy) and Tony Johnson (Lisa), both of Charlestown; sisters, Joyce McGehee, of Greenville, KY, Jane Johnson and Doris Bowers, of Beechmont, KY, Ella Dean Carden, of Crofton, KY and Linda Staples, of Beech Creek, KY; a brother, Reggie Roberson, of Browder, KY; five grandchildren Brandi (Mike) French, Adam Bowling, and Kassandra, Trevor and Logan Johnson; and a great- grandson, Ethan French. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown, with burial in Crace Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 3 -9 p.m. and after 11 a.m. Tuesday.
