Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Chapel for Brenda Clark, 63, Gadsden, who passed away Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009. Bro. Darrell Evers will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Chapel is in charge. Mrs. Clark was a lifelong resident of Etowah County and was a member of Grace Temple Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Floyd and Lillie Mae Toole; and her brother, Hershel Toole. Mrs. Clark is survived by her husband, David Clark; daughters, Tonja Mason (Jon) Tensink, Glencoe, Laynette Roden (Mike) Cochran, Glencoe; grandchildren, Josh Brown and Hallie Geer; sisters, Patricia (Jim) Heaton, Georgia, and Wanda (Randy) Belyeu, Southside; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Ray and Linda Owens and Peggy Chastain. Pallbearers will be Clay Belyeu, Tyler Roberts, Kenneth Crowe, Kenny Roach, Johnny Clay and Kenneth Mason. Special thanks to Dr. Sara Carpenter and Dr. Dinesh Parmar. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
