Starkville, Mississippi - Bonnie Jean (Frazee) Gunter, age 65, of Starkville, Miss., and Athens, Ga., died early on May 5, 2007, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Gunter was born in Peoria, Illinois, to Loren R. Frazee, Jr. and Juanita M. (Steinseifer) Frazee. She was a graduate of Peoriaís Richwoods High School and a lifelong learner. She married John E. Gunter on April 14, 1964. In addition to home-making, she also worked as a sales clerk, telephone operator, receptionist, and bookkeeper. She served at times as her familyís breadwinner. She was a thoughtful, kind and generous person. Mrs. Gunter was an avid collector of antiques, an inspired cook and decorator, and a populist political proponent.A memorial service in her honor will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home, 2408 West Willow Knolls Drive, Peoria, Illinois. The Rev. Dr. Randall K. Perry will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home starting at 1:00 p.m. the day of the service.Mrs. Gunter leaves behind her husband, John E. Gunter of Starkville, Miss., and Athens, Ga.; sister, Kathleen Frazee and Janine York, both of Peoria; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Joseph.Memorials in her honor may be made to a charity of the donorís choice.
