Born in Dante, Va., Billie worked for 35 years in the Hartford, Conn., school system as a physical education teacher, softball coach and vice principal. She and her husband, Sonny, retired to Sarasota in 1989 and became active members of Bent Tree Country Club.In addition to her husband, Billie is survived by a sister, Nancy Katherine Jones; a sister-in-law, Mabel Duval; a daughter, Toni Duval ; a daughter, Regina Tindall and her husband, Alphonso; grandchildren Sydney and Jackson; and many cherished friends and family.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to The Boys and Girls Clubs of Hartford, 170 Sigourney St, Hartford, CT 06105.
