CLEWISTON - Betty Lou Williams, of Clewiston, passed away at J.F.K. Medical Center on Aug. 3, 2010, after a brief serious illness. Mrs. Williams was born on Jan. 25, 1942, in Miami, Fla., the daughter of Debbs E. and Muriel E. Walker Collier. She was married to George C. Williams. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She left behind a legacy of wonderful memories her family and friends can cherish. She is survived by her sons, George Charles Williams Jr., and Darrell Leon Williams; daughter, Linda Williams; and her grandchildren, Darrell L. Williams Jr., George C. Williams III, Ashton N. Williams, Zachary L. Williams; and her sister, Sharon of North Carolina. Mrs. Williams moved to the Clewiston area in 1988. She loved animals, working in the yard and creating arts and crafts. She encouraged and never gave up on those she believed in and was always there to lend a helping hand. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, George C. Williams, on June 5, 2010. We can all feel comfort in the knowledge that they are together again. Arrangements are being handled by Akin-Davis Funeral Home, Clewiston.
