HOOD, BETTY LOU, 72, passed away on October 22, 2012 surrounded by her Daughter, Grandchildren and Family. She was born on March 6, 1940 to the late Bivan and Ruth Cundiff. She joins her late Husband of over 40 years, James (Jimmy) Arthur Hood in Heaven. Betty and Jimmy are soulmates that will now spend eternity together. Betty has been a devoted Mother, Wife, Grandmother, Sister and Friend. She has truly touched every person fortunate enough to meet her acquaintance. Betty always extended love and kindness to those who surrounded her. She retired from Kindred Hospital (St. Anthony's) after many years of dedicated service. She is preceded in death by Brothers, Thomas Cundiff and James Cundiff; and Sister, Nellie Smith. Betty is survived by her only Daughter, Lisa Darlene Hood (James); Grandchildren, Alexis and Ethan Allen (J.J.); and Sisters, Anna Mae Garr, Margaret Vowels, Mary Jane (Red) Derringer and Nancy (Goldie) Mumford. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday October 25, 2012 at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison at Barret Avenues. Funeral service to be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2012 at the Funeral Home with burial at St. Stephens Cemetery.
