JOHNSON, Betty Jane, 87, of Fort Thomas, Ky., formerly of Temple Terrace, Fla., passed away January 21, 2011, at her residence. She was a secretary with the Hillsbough County School System. She was a member of Southgate Senior Citizens, a volunteer at St. Elizabeth, Fort Thomas, Ky., and a volunteer at Echo House. She was also a member of St. John' s United Church of Christ and a member of Newport High School class of 1941. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Sam Johnson; father, Harry L. Walker; and her mother, Florence Walker. Betty is survived by two sons, Kevin W. (Deanna) Johnson of Brandon, Fla., and Kimber L. (Lorraine) Johnson of Wellesley, Mass.; three grandchildren, Chelsea Lovett, Carly Johnson and Susannah Johnson; and niece, Barrie Jill Swanson of Barrington, Ill. Private services will take place at a later date. Burial will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery.
