Betty Jean Henderson (nee Neilson) Highland, IN Betty Jean Henderson (nee Neilson), age 46, of Highland, IN, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2007. She is survived by her husband, Jim Henderson; daughter, Angela Henderson; mother, Betty Jo Neilson; sisters: Nancy Jo Auksel, Karen Sue (Daniel) Lamantia and Mary Beth Bixenman; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Preceded in death by her father, Robert Neilson; brother, Bobby Neilson; sister, Kathy Ann; mother-in-law, Mary Henderson; and grandmother, Gerry "Pochie" Reinboldt. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 16, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 2828 Highway Avenue, Highland, IN. Burial in Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN. Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Betty Jean "ABJ" was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 1109 and the Phi Beta Kappa Sorority out of Sawyer College. She worked at LTV Steel for 23 years where she was a member and union representative for the Local 1011.
