DAVIS, BETTY ESSARY - age 88, of New Tazewell, Tennessee, was born March 11, 1926, passed away on January 6, 2015. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of New Tazewell, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Bradford Davis; father and mother, Grover and Cretia Neely Essary; son, Jeffery Davis; sisters, Pauline Willis and Vida Brooks; brothers, Hugh, Joe Frank and Cecil Essary. Survived by son, Mike and Libby Davis of New Tazewell, TN; grandchildren, Ashley and Doug Stinson of Knoxville, TN, Brad and Brandi Davis of New Tazewell, TN, Lindsay Davis of Tazewell; great grandchildren, Payne and Haley Stinson of Knoxville, TN, Brinkley Davis of New Tazewell, TN; step grandchildren, Jackson Brantley of New Tazewell, TN; sister, Irene and Bevan Brown of Knoxville, TN; sister-in-law : Barbara Essary; special caregiver, Imogene Bunch; and a very special friend, Opal Ferguson; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 8, 2015, at the Coffey Funeral Home chapel in New Tazewell, funeral service will be Friday January 9, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the Coffey funeral Home chapel in New Tazewell with burial to follow in the Fairview Cemetery.
