Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Chapel for Betty Brewster Moore, 78, of Hokes Bluff, who passed away June 27, 2013. Bro. Roy Thomas will officiate. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery. Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home & Cemetery is in charge of services.Betty was a member of Davis Chapel United Methodist Church. When she was able, she loved taking care of her family and taking family and friends to run their errands. She enjoyed spending Sunday at church and cooking for all the grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her first husband, Julius Leon Brewster; and her second husband, J.D. Moore; her parents; 12 siblings; and stepson, Johnny Mack Moore.She is survived by her son, Michael Brewster; daughter, Patricia (Mark) Spurling Sr.; stepson, Bruce Moore; stepdaughters, Betty (Daniel) Wolfe, Carol (Danny) Conner; grandchildren, Nathan (Stephanie) Brewster, Mark (Hannah) Spurling Jr., and Michael Spurling; stepgrandchildren, Jonathan Wolfe, Jesse and Dillon Moore, John Keith Harris, Sherrie Harris and Jeremy Harris; great-grandchildren, Justis Brewster, Blaze Brewster, Alyssa Johnson, Maycee Spurling; several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and special daughter-in-law, Diane Brown.Pallbearers will be Hoyt McCain, Jason McCain, Bruce Moore, Charles Johnson, Robert Galbreath and Bradley Kerr.Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Forester and Johnny BaileySpecial thanks to all the staff at Amedisys Hospice, especially Lindsey and Loretta and all the chaplains, God bless each and everyone.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society or Davis Chapel.The family will receive friends from noon to the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.www.ghbfuneralhome.com
