Bernice Stuart July 15, 1940 May 5, 2011 Bernice Stuart (nee Self), age 70 of Regina, SK passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Wascana Rehabilitation Center on Thursday morning. She is predeceased by her loving parents, Hugh and Edith Self and her husband's parents, Dot and Ken Hunter. Bernice is survived and will be remembered with love by her husband of 51 years, Wayne; their 5 children, Cam (Laurie) of Weeks, SK, Trent (Dorothy) of Calgary, AB, Rhonda (Selwyn) Samuels of Viera, FL, Taz (Carol) of Winnipeg, MB and Vic (Jen) of Regina, SK. Grandma Bernice will be lovingly remembered by her 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, Sherise, Devin, Faythe, Keli, Taylor, Joshua, Sebastian, Liam, Kirin, Zabian, Logan, Carter, Caden, Marek, Marley and Kitanna. She is also survived by her 4 sisters and brother, Lois (Lloyd) Martin, Pat Lennox, Maxine (Bob) Sloboda, Jeff (Ann) Self and Valerie Kruger, as well as sisters in law, Gloria Decorby-Pappas and Sharon (Pat) Marchuck and many nieces and nephews. Bernice was such a hard working and giving lady, she touched so many lives in her years as the Dental Assistant, Nurses Aid, Hockey coach and manager, Baker for the Regina Farmer's Market and finally a Care Giver to the elderly in her nursing home for 21 years at Stuart Manor. The family would like to express our thanks and gratitude for all the prayers, support and acts of kindness of friends and family over the past 2 years. We would also like to thank the staff at Regina General Hospital (3E) and Wascana Rehabilitation Center (2-6) for all their loving care of both Bernice and the family over the past 4 months. A Luncheon and Celebration of Bernice's Life will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2011 at St. James United Church Hall, 4506 Sherwood Dr., Regina, SK. Please join us in sharing your love and memories of this special lady's life on this day. Friends so wishing may donate to the Canadian Diabetes Association in Bernice's memory.
