Beatrice Rector Davis, 86, widow of Thad Wells Davis, of Laurelwood Apartments, died Friday, Dec. 6, 2002 at National Health Care. Born in Union, she was a daughter of the late Van and Lucy Dill Rector. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Priscilla Elmore and husband, Jerry, Pat Skinner and husband, Roger, all of Laurens, and June Sumerel and husband, Donnie of Columbia; five grandchildren, Paige and Steve Holt, Jason and Tracy Elmore, Chris and Jan Skinner, David and Amanda Skinner and Wells and Laurie Sumerel; and five great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002 at Westview Memorial Park conducted by the Revs. Jim Reppart and Tony Crouch. The family will be at 110 Lemon Tree Trail and will receive friends after the graveside service.
