GRANITEVILLE, S.C. - Mrs. Barbara H. Martin, loving mother affectionately known as the cake lady, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at GRU in Augusta, Ga. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Isaac H. and Mamie M. Holston. She leaves to cherish her memory: three daughters, Cynthia (Mark) Cooks, Stephanie (Robert Jr.) McKie, and Brittany (DeMarque Ford) Martin; three sisters, Diane (Willie) Gomillion, Iris Stukes-Brown, Beryl Holston; three brothers, Ronald (Willie B) Holston, Carl Holston, Brian (Eva) Holston; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two loyal friends/sisters, Mamie Pryor and Bonita Williams, and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Second Providence Baptist Church, 1202 Old Edgefield Rd., North Augusta, SC 29841 with Rev. Dr. Albert M. James officiating. Family will receive friends at the residence, 123 Kaney Lane or Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home, Aiken, SC.
