Barbara Lynne Wilson (Cochran) July 21, 1942 - December 19, 2013 . Lynne's life began on the family's farm in Lewis Mountain, New Brunswick where the lessons she learned nurtured a practical sensibility and work ethic that defined her 71 years. Raising her children, Andrea Ferland (Mark), Patty McComiskey (Scott), and Greg Wilson, and later savouring her 8 grandchildren, gave Lynne meaning and happiness. Her love was unwavering, and her "I can do that" attitude inspiring. As the family glue, Lynne kept her family and friends connected across generations and time zones. She learned to Skype, text and Facebook to foster those relationships. Lynne's youthful outlook saw her tubing at the summer cottage, travelling, dancing, cheering on grandkids at their sporting events, and never retiring. She was both spirited and spiritual. Lynne believed we are never given more than we can handle, and she proved it by nurturing children and grandkids and working myriad careers ranging from hairdressing to insurance while always willing to lend a hand looking after a house or a pet. This same grit led her to drive herself to the doctor after being struck by lightning, but not before teaching her young daughter how to shift gears as her own arm was injured. Seldom idle, Lynne wanted to live every minute until she couldn't - and she did. Getting ready to pick up her granddaughter from school, Lynne died of a heart attack. She lived life to its fullest with chocolate in one hand and wine in the other... A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday January 18th, 2014.
