Barbara Lee Bobbie Morrison, 78, of Ashland and Biddeford, Maine, formerly of Sherborn, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010. She was the beloved wife of Gordon M. Morrison Jr., with whom she shared 56 years of marriage. Born in Bryn Mawr, Pa., the daughter of the late Philip Leighton Lee and Elisabeth Warren Lee, Mrs. Morrison was raised in Rosemont, Pa., and attended the Haverford Friends School in Haverford, Pa., The Baldwin School in Bryn Mawr, was a 1950 graduate of The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., and a 1954 graduate of Wheaton College in Norton. She dedicated her life to caring for her husband and family. Mrs. Morrison was a member of the Junior League of Boston and the Wheaton College Club of Wellesley. She was a resident of Sherborn for 32 years, Ashland for 14 years and a longtime summer resident of Fortunes Rocks, Maine and Camden, Maine. Mrs. Morrison was an active member of Pilgrim Congregational Church in Sherborn since 1972 and served on a wide variety of committees and as a deaconess. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Morrison is survived by her children, Leighton Morrison of Millis, and Faith Carlson and her husband, Kyle, of Hopkinton; and five grandchildren, Kaleigh, Camden, Mackay, Kelsey and Brandon. She was also the mother of the late Lee Brett and sister of the late Elisabeth Sallada. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Oct. 17, at 2 p.m., at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 25 South Main St., Sherborn, MA. Donations in Mrs. Morrisons memory may be made to Pilgrim Church.
