Barbara Jean "Bob" Baker Jackson, 56, formerly of Hastings, residing in Atlanta, died June 30, 2009, at South Fulton Hospital.She was the daughter of the late Willie and Corine Baker. She was born in Hastings, Fla. She was a graduate of Hastings High School class of 1971 and continued her education toward an administrative certification. She worked for Relay Systems as a TTY operator for the hearing impaired in Miami, and the St. Johns County Corrections Department. She received her Christian Foundation at Pompey's Temple Church of God in Christ.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009, at The Lord's Temple, where Elder Thomas Cave III is the pastor. Elder John Williams will be eulogist. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in San Mateo, Fla. Viewing will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Harvest Time Ministry in Hastings and from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the mortuary.She is survived by her son, Zacharay (Terry) Jackson; daughters, Lasonya Tower and Karmala Karakus; and sisters, Janice Whitty, Sandra Baker, Valerie Baker and Dorothene Baker.Coleman's Mortuary of Hastings in charge of arrangements.
