LOUISVILLE, Ga. - Audrey Poole Williams, 84, loving wife of 58 years to James Luke Williams, entered into rest Sunday morning, October 30, 2011, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 in the James Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Larry Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Avera GA. Born to the late Clyde Williams Poole and the late Joe Poole, Audrey grew up and graduated high school in Avera GA. After finishing college and living in Atlanta, she returned to Jefferson County where she married her sweetheart and retired after 33 years of service from the Jefferson County School System where she taught 1st, 2nd and Special Ed classes. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Assoc and an active member of First Baptist Church in Louisville. She also volunteered her time as a Pink Lady at Jefferson Hospital. Audrey enjoyed cooking, shopping and traveling. She was a classy lady who never met a stranger. She was a giver and felt more comfortable giving than receiving. Audrey loved God and was an example of His love. Her generous, loving spirit will be greatly missed. Audrey was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Jerold E. Poole and William T. Poole. Other survivors include her brother, Donald S. Poole (Martha); three sisters-in-law, Myra Poole, Sara Gibson and Giesla Williams; several nieces and nephews; her church family and friends. Pallbearers will be William Hadden, Jimmie Pennington, Bernard Pittman, William Rabun, Randy Sharpe and Craig Williams. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM this evening, Monday, October 31, 2011 at James Funeral Home. James Funeral Home - Wrens, GA
