WATERFORD - Ann Vincent Lee, 76, of 8 Foot Court, died Friday at the Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London. She was born in New Haven, Aug. 29, 1931, the daughter of George H. and Esther Bradley Vincent. She married Lt. Col. William W. Lee Jr. (retired United States Army) in St. Rose Church in Meriden on Oct. 20, 1956. He survives. Mrs. Lee was a graduate of St. Margaret School in Waterbury and graduated from Colby College in New London, N.H. in 1955. She had been employed as a medical technician for Abington General Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa.; as well as at Meriden Hospital. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution as a descendent of patriot Samuel Atwater who was a drummer in the American Revolution. She was a direct descendent of William Bradley, an early founder of the New Haven Colony in 1638. After her husband's retirement from a career in the U.S. Army in 1974, her family moved back to Waterford, after agreeing they would never move again-after moving 19 times in 20 years. Mrs. Lee and her family also summered in Westbrook, and were members of the Grove Beach Point Association. Ann loved spending the summers at the beach surrounded by her children and grandchildren, especially celebrating the Fourth of July with a big family cookout. Ann also loved all holiday, as they were special times to spend with her family which she cherished. She is survived by three sons, William W. "Chip" Lee III and his wife, Margaret of Westerly, Steven V. Lee and his wife, Alice of Clinton, Peter B. Lee and his wife, Dana Simoni-Lee of Salem; two daughters, Cathy A. Rapoport of North Stonington and Nancy B. Gonzales and her husband, Ricky of Waterford; a brother, Peter Vincent and his wife, Margaret of Westbrook; a sister, Abby Pichnarcik and her husband, George of Pawley Island, S.C. She is survived by 16 grandchildren, Bill Lee and his wife, Jannell, Amy Lee, Andrew Lee, Daniel Lee, Joseph Lee, John Michael Lee, Matthew Lee, Nicole Lee, Samantha Lee, Anthony Lee, Matthew Rapoport, Todd Rapoport, Dylan Rapoport, Patrick Lee, and Taylor Lee. She has two great-grandchildren, Payton and Brayden Lee. Special thanks to Jill Baker, Tricia Gault and Charlene Shepard who provided loving care to Ann, as well as Lenore Longo from the Southeastern Visiting Nurses Association. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London. Funeral services will be conducted at the Bradley/Hubbard Chapel on Wednesday in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choosing.
