Alma Louise Miller, 91 CAPE ELIZABETH -- Alma Louise Miller, 91, of Cape Elizabeth, passed away May 15, 2009, at the Alzheimer's Care Center in Gardiner. She was born in Camden, the daughter of Leroy and Mary Robbins McDermott. She was a graduate of Camden High School, Class of 1936. She married Raymond Thompson where they started their family in Cape Elizabeth. Mrs. Miller was a communicant of St. Albans Episcopal Church and served on the St. Elizabeth's Altar Guild for 13 years. Alma worked as a dental secretary for 22 years for Dr. Alton Swett and Dr. Hubert Barker, after retirement she worked part time at the Cape Elizabeth home for five years. Alma was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Thompson of 45 years in 1982. She married Kenneth E. Miller in 1985 until his passing in 2000. Alma was predeceased by her husband of 14 years, Kenneth E. Miller of Cape Elizabeth; and sister, Neva Harden. She is survived by a son, Bradford Thompson and his wife Sharon of Cape Elizabeth; and two grandchildren, Christopher Thompson of Scarborough and Rebecca Thompson of Cape Elizabeth, and Marion Wall and her husband Warren of Rockport. A funeral service will be Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at 10 a.m., at St. Albans Episcopal Church, Shore Road Cape Elizabeth. Arrangements made by the Hobbs Funeral Home, 230 Cottage Rd., South Portland.
